USES OF SODIUM PERCHLORATE
The main use of sodium perchlorate is to precursor many other perchlorate salts, thanks to its advantage of low solubility relative to NaClO4 209 g/100 ml at 25°C, thus it can trigger reactions with other salts. And normally perchloric acid is made by treating NaClO4 with HCl so we get a very efficient sodium perchlorate solution.
NaClO4 is not widely used in pyrotechnics, although it can be found in some cases, it is not common. We will not usually find it because it is hygroscopic: which means that it reacts with a lot of steam, and that is detrimental in the reactions.
